Profile

Ayato Fujiwara is a Japanese composer, arranger, and pianist whose work spans anime, games, virtual artists, and J-pop. His piano cover videos on YouTube have received more than 10 million views.

He earned a B.A. from International Christian University and an M.Sc. in Astronomy from the University of Tokyo. During his graduate studies, he conducted research with the JASMINE team at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ) while developing his career in music production.

He has been a member of Music People’s Nest (MPN) since 2020 and a Full Member of the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC) since 2024. He also serves on JASRAC’s Distribution Committee.

His broader background includes working as a child model, studying in the United States during high school, and gaining work experience at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) while at university.

His musical influences range from the expansive, cinematic sounds of Secret Garden, Celtic Woman, and Sarah Brightman to Hiromi Uehara’s jazz piano and electronic genres such as tropical house and future bass. Having grown up immersed in games and anime, he brings these influences together to create genre-spanning music with depth, scale, and a strong sense of world-building.

His hands-on experience in recording studios and diverse production environments enables him to consistently deliver polished, high-quality recordings.
